vaccination against COVID-19 begins in Moscow

Some Moscow doctors and officials of the capital’s mayor’s office received an offer to be vaccinated against coronavirus. This is a vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.

The invitation, which was at the disposal of Bloomberg, says the vaccine is safe and has passed clinical trials.

The doctor who received such an offer said that one of the hospitals has already begun drawing up a list of employees who are ready to be vaccinated. The mayor’s office official said similar invitations had been sent to his colleagues.

The press service of the Moscow government declined to comment, the TV channel notes “Rain”.

The publication reminds that on August 1, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation reported: the Gamaleya Center completed clinical trials of a vaccine against coronavirus. The head of this department, Mikhail Murashko, said that the first registration of a coronavirus vaccine in Russia will take place in the first or second decade of August, and doctors and teachers will be the first to receive the vaccine. Mass vaccinations will begin in October.
