The general meeting of the clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) spoke in favor of changing the regulations regarding the transfer of footballers from one club to another on loan during the season. The proposals of the clubs will soon be considered by the bureau of the executive committee of the Russian Football Union.
The clubs proposed to limit the number of players who, from August 7, can transfer on loan from one RPL club to another, by two players during one season. According to media reports, 11 members of the league voted in favor, while Spartak, Zenit, Ufa, Khimki and Sochi opposed the amendment.
It is also proposed to release on the field as part of one team no more than two players who, on loan, have moved from one RPL club to another since July 1, 2020.
In addition, the clubs voted to eliminate the practice of additional transfer payments and restrictions on the participation of a rented player in a match against the club that owns the rights.
