The carriers of the EAEU countries will be entitled to one carriage of their cargo through the territory of Kyrgyzstan. This is reported by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
According to her, a meeting of the EEC Board was held the day before. Issues in the field of trade, customs cooperation, energy and infrastructure, economics and financial policy were considered. The decision to join the Kyrgyz Republic to the program of liberalization of coastal transportation by road within the EAEU was approved. It is planned that from January 1, 2016, carriers from Armenia, Belarus or Russia, having completed the road transportation of goods from states that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, will be entitled to perform one cabotage road transportation of goods through the territory of Kyrgyzstan on the way back to the state of registration.
“We are talking about transportation in Talas, Chui or Issyk-Kul regions. Similar conditions apply to carriers registered in Kyrgyzstan. The program stipulates that from January 1, 2020, coastal transportation in the same direction can be carried out across the territories of any regions of the EAEU countries. From January 1, 2025, the number of such shipments will be increased to three, ”the EEC says.
