Workers from Kyrgyzstan named as the source of hepatitis A spread in Russia “Health” www.24.kg

The likely source of the spread of hepatitis A in the Tulunsky district of the Irkutsk region of Russia was named workers of logging sites from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This was reported by press service administration of the city of Tulun.
“The transmission route is presumably contact-household,” the administration said.
In Tulun and Tulunsky district, multiple cases of viral hepatitis A were registered.
As of January 31, there were 33 patients in the infectious diseases department, seven of them are preparing for discharge.
