Died professor, microsurgeon Myrzabek Mateev. He had pneumonia

Professor, microsurgeon Myrzabek Mateev died on August 8 from pneumonia at the age of 61.
“The staff of the National Hospital expresses deep condolences in connection with the untimely death of their respected colleague, Professor Mateev Myrzabek Asypbekovich due to pneumonia,” his colleagues said.

Myrzabek Mateev was born in 1959 in the city of Kara-Balta. After graduating from high school in 1976, he entered the medical faculty of the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute, from which he graduated in 1982.
From 1982 to 1983 he completed an internship in the specialty “surgery” on the basis of the portal hypertension department of the Republican Clinical Hospital.
From 1983 to 1985 he completed a full course of training in clinical residency in the specialty “microsurgery” on the basis of the microsurgery department of the All-Union Scientific Center of Surgery of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow.
Since 1985 M.A.Mateev has been working in the department of microsurgery and is actively introducing the method of microsurgery into practice and on the basis of clinical experience.
In 1989 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences on the topic: “The use of transplantation of vascularized tissue grafts in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis” (Bishkek).
In 1998 M.A. Mateev defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic “Microsurgical plastics of extensive defects of soft tissues and bones” (Moscow).
From 1994 until almost the end of his life, he worked as the head of the department of plastic reconstructive microsurgery and hand surgery at the National Hospital under the Ministry of Health.
Myrzabek Mateev was a professor at the Department of Surgery at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Professor at the Department of New Technologies of the KSMI for advanced training and retraining of personnel, a member of the expert commission of the National Attestation Commission of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Mateev is the author of several dozen scientific works, including monographs, rationalization proposals and inventions, participated in the work of many international congresses in Europe and Asia, has international standard certificates.
M. A. Mateev was a member of the International Association of European Microsurgeons (EFSM). and the International Council for Hand Surgery, actively introduced the method of microsurgery in various fields of surgery.
So, for the first time in Kyrgyzstan, Mateev developed and introduced into clinical practice methods of replacing defects after excision of tumors, treatment of congenital false joints, microsurgical plasty of burn deformities, plastics of osteomyelitic bone cavities using the method of microsurgery.
A number of developments are recognized as priority techniques in the field of reconstructive microsurgery and have been published in many international journals such as Hand Surgery, Plastic Microsurgery, Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and many others.
