Almazbek Akmatov, a parliamentary deputy from the Bir Bol faction, proposed to name the National Historical Museum after Turdakun Usubaliev, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Kyrgyz SSR. He stated this today at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.

According to him, residents of the Kochkor district of the Naryn region turned to him with a request to assign his name to the Historical Museum and Kievskaya Street.

Recall that Turdakun Usubaliev was the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan (from 1961 to 1985), and in 1993-2005 – a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. He died in 2015.
