In Kyrgyzstan, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and influenza is again growing. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
According to them, as of January 16, 2017, there is an increase of 1.3 times. In the first week of the year (January 2-9), 5,872 requests for medical assistance with symptoms of ARVI and influenza were registered in the republic. During the second week (9-15) 7 thousand 479 patients have already addressed.
- An increase in the incidence is noted in all regions of the republic, except for Osh and Batken region. Monitoring of children’s attendance continues in schools.
According to the monitoring and analysis of the incidence of influenza and ARVI in previous years, the epidemic rise was noted since December, the peak incidence was at the end of January and February.
- In all regions, it is planned to deploy additional beds on the basis of hospitals for hospitalization of patients with ARVI and influenza.
“At this time, the epidemic situation is under control. The sanitary and educational work among the population on the prevention of influenza and ARVI continues, ”the Ministry of Health said.
