A plant for the production of vaccines and diagnostic kits for animals from Russian raw materials will be built in the Chui region of Kyrgyzstan, near the city of Tokmak. About it IA «24.kg» reported in the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov took part in the discussion of this issue.

Infectious diseases of livestock, in particular foot and mouth disease, remain one of the most serious threats to Russia and the countries of Central Asia.

To help solve this problem, in June 2016, with the participation of the fund, a joint project was launched to build a plant for foot and mouth disease vaccines from Russian raw materials – “bulk product” in Kyrgyzstan. The design capacity of the future plant is 30 million doses per year.

It is noted that by agreement with the Fund of State Material Reserves of the Kyrgyz Republic, the territory of a former mill with an area of more than 8 hectares was allocated for the plant. In July, the terms of reference will be prepared and the design of the future enterprise will begin.

The construction of the plant is scheduled for October 2017.
