Over 5.1 million somoni was spent on the development of fish farming in Tajikistan

Avesta.Tj | 06.08.2020 | More than 5.1 million somoni ($ 498.6 thousand) was spent in six months of this year on the development of fish farming in Tajikistan.
The indicated amount was used for fish farming and research work.
As reported to “Avesta” in the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, more than 832.2 tons of fish were produced in January-June 2020. The volume of fish farming products amounted to 15.6 million somoni.
According to the source, in the republic, mainly fish species such as carp, silver carp, grass carp and trout are grown.
Currently, the price for one kilogram of local fish is about 30-40 somoni, except for trout. The price for one kilogram of trout in markets and supermarkets reaches 70 somoni.
