The head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on July 30, during a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, discussed bilateral cooperation. It is reported by press service Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of the conversation, cordially congratulating his colleague on the appointment to a responsible position, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan wished him successful and very effective work for the benefit of the friendly Azerbaijani people.
The ministers also discussed joint efforts aimed at diversifying the mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. In this context, the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the transport and transit sectors was especially noted.
Particular attention is paid to the need for joint effective and coordinated interaction in the context of a coronavirus pandemic.
The heads of foreign policy exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international politics.
