Measures are being taken to replace road patrol officers with secondary special education with higher education

The Minister of Internal Affairs Pulat Bobojonov reported on traffic accidents in the country.
According to him, every third crime committed in Uzbekistan in the first six months of this year was fraud, theft and traffic accidents. is calculated.

In January-June, the number of traffic accidents decreased by 8%, the number of deaths by 9.8% and the number of injuries by 20.4%.
But there is a lot of work to be done in this area. Just one example. In the last three and a half years, about 1,500 people have died as a result of intentional crimes, while the number of road accidents has increased fivefold – 7,500 people.

In order to reduce traffic violations, work is underway to cover serious cases on social networks, train traffic police, analyze the factors that cause these cases, “said the Minister at the August 7 meeting of the Senate. At the 6th Plenary Session.

Bobojonov said the biggest problem was road traffic accidents.
The biggest problem is the driving culture. Over the past six months, more than 11,000 drivers have been driving under the influence of alcohol. More than 79,000 pedestrians violated traffic rules, in 15,188 cases mobile phones were used while driving, and 360,000 drivers drove without wearing seat belts. These circumstances may seem insignificant. But it is precisely such violations that are having dire consequences.

In order to prevent such cases, propaganda work is being carried out in every family and organization to increase the knowledge of drivers.

A quarter of the road patrol officers currently serving have a secondary special education. Measures are being taken to gradually replace them with highly educated employees. There are also issues of repairing low-quality roads and increasing the number of radars, ”he said.
