President of Turkmenistan held a meeting following an online meeting with the head of WHO

Priority tasks put forward in the framework of the online meetings with the head of WHOand the issues of their practical implementation were considered at a video meeting held by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov and Minister of Health and Medical Industry N. Amannepesov. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Emphasizing the relevance of the issues discussed at the meeting with the head of the WHO, the head of Turkmenistan said that at the present stage it is important to impart an effective character to the established relations with international structures and take practical steps in order to successfully fulfill the designated tasks.

In this regard, specific instructions were given. The need to make every effort to improve the effectiveness of measures taken, taking into account the requirements of the time, was noted.

Noting with satisfaction that all the initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan during the meeting with the head of the WHO were fully supported, the head of state made an order to establish coordinated work with the relevant structures, instructing:

  • to intensify cooperation in the field of scientific diplomacy, to create the necessary conditions for a systematic exchange of views between medical scientists, experts and specialists in other fields;
  • continue to adhere to the recommendations of authoritative international structures and continue active cooperation with WHO.
