Vice President Fuat Oktay and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşolulu left Beirut for the Lebanese capital Esenboga Airport in the capital Ankara with a high level of support.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Vehbe and Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Hakan Çakıl were welcomed at the airport by Octai Refugee Refik Hariri and Mehmet Güllüolulu, Head of the Turkish Emergency Situations and Disaster Management Agency.
“We have said we will continue to provide food and medical equipment to Lebanese President Avna,” Fuat Oktay said in a statement after his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Awn.
“Turkey is ready to help Lebanon with all its hospitals and ambulances,” Oktay said.
“Turkey is ready to support the restoration of nearby buildings, including the port of Beirut, which was badly damaged by the blast,” Fuat Oktay said.
Octave, who will meet Parliament Speaker Nebih Berry and Prime Minister Hassan Diab, is also accompanied by Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşolulu.
During his visit, Fuat Oktay and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşooglylu visited the port of Beirut.
“We have great respect for Turkey and the Turkish people in Lebanon,” Fuat Oktay said in a statement at the port. We have made it clear that we are ready to provide all possible assistance to our Lebanese brothers as Turkey. “
“We will continue to provide food, medical equipment, wheat and flour to Lebanon,” Oktay said.
