President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation during a telephone conversation on July 29, reports “Turkmenistan Today”.
During the conversation, the heads of the two states exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, expressing confidence that this bright holiday, embodying such enduring universal humanistic values as brotherhood and solidarity, the desire to do good and good deeds, will contribute to progress, the triumph of peace and the consolidation of solidarity throughout the Muslim community and on the planet as a whole.
Having addressed the best wishes to the peoples of both countries, the President of Turkmenistan and the Emir of Qatar noted with satisfaction the high level of bilateral political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations, noting the presence of favorable prospects for entering new areas of partnership, for which there is a solid multifaceted potential.
Continuing the conversation, expressing gratitude to the Emir of the State of Qatar for the special attention and personal contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan is committed to the traditional interstate dialogue, which intends to build up in the future.
In this regard, the sides noted the mutual desire of the parties to bring strategic and long-term cooperation to a new level, also aimed at further strengthening the role of the two friendly states in the global geopolitical and economic space.
Issues of the regional and global agenda were also discussed, the topic of the coronavirus pandemic, which posed a serious threat to all mankind and caused the emergence of crisis phenomena in the world, was touched upon.
