Turkmenistan elected vice chair of UNECE – News Central Asia (nCa)

Ashgabat, 15 April 2013 (nCa) — Turkmenistan and Switzerland have been elected vice chairman of UNECE. Netherlands is the chairman.

The elections took place during the 65th session of UNECE, held in Geneva, 9-11 April 2013.

The chairman and vice chairmen of the UNECE are also the chair and vice chair of the UNECE executive committee.

Turkmenistan will remain the vice chair of the UNECE and its executive committee until the next elections in April 2015.

The retiring chairman is Serbia and vice chairs are Israel and Romania.
