In the USA, over two thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded per day

In the United States, for the first time in three months, more than two thousand deaths from COVID-19 were recorded per day, worldwide the number of infected exceeded 19 million.

On August 6, 58,000 new cases of infection were detected in the United States. For several weeks, the country has suffered serious setbacks in efforts to contain the spread of the virus. The last time over two thousand deaths per day were recorded in the United States on May 7.

Morbidity and mortality are increasing in Latin America. Brazil has reported more than 53,000 new infections and more than 1,200 COVID-19 deaths per day. The death toll in the country is approaching 100 thousand.

In Mexico, on August 6, the number of deaths from coronavirus exceeded 50 thousand. The country’s Ministry of Health reported that over the past day, more than six and a half thousand new cases of infection were registered.

European countries are introducing new restrictions on movement, fearing a new wave of the disease. According to Johns Hopkins University, the coronavirus has claimed more than 715,000 lives worldwide.
