Air India makes a hard landing in Kerala; 14 dead, more than 120 injured

On Friday, August 7, an Air India Boeing-737, which took off from Dubai to Kolkata, made a hard landing in the Indian city of Kozhikode (Kerala state), the agency reports. CNN.

On board the aircraft were 174 passengers and seven crew members. As a result of the incident, 14 people died, more than 120 were injured (15 of them were serious).

The landing took place in unfavorable weather conditions, in heavy rain. The plane could not get on the runway and sat outside, in the field. On landing, the plane split into two parts; the cockpit and the front of the liner were completely destroyed.
