In the city of Garabogaz, with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the “Garabogazkarbamid” plant was solemnly opened. A new chemical industry facility worth more than $ 1 billion 570 million was built by a consortium of Japan’s Mitsubisi Corportion and Turkey’s Gap Inşaat Ýatirim ve Dis Ticaret AS, the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The plant will produce 2 thousand tons per day, and 660 thousand tons of ammonia per year, which is used for the production of concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer – urea, as well as 3,500 tons per day of carbamide fertilizers, which will amount to 1 million 155 thousand tons per year. t. Fertilizers are planned to be exported by sea through the reconstructed port in Garabogaz.
The carbamide produced by the plant contains 46.2% nitrogen. This indicator is considered the highest among nitrogen-containing and nitrogen-containing fertilizers.
When the facility reaches its production capacity, the volume of urea production in the country will amount to more than 2 million tons.
“Turkmenistan has made another decisive step towards integration into the ranks of the industrially developed countries of the world, joining the number of major exporters of chemical products,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at the opening ceremony of the plant. According to the head of state, all products of the plant, equipped with the most advanced technologies, are export-oriented.
