Fifteen foreign companies that provide services in electronic form in Kyrgyzstan are registered as payers of value added tax to the budget of the republic. This was reported by the Tax Service.
Four companies registered in the Netherlands, two companies each in the USA, Great Britain, Russia and one each in Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Cyprus have passed remote tax registration in the electronic service of the National Assembly www.vat.salyk.kg.
“Today, the functionality of the service allows a foreign organization providing electronic services to undergo tax registration as a VAT taxpayer, obtain an identification tax number and access to the taxpayer’s personal account,” the ministry said.
The so-called “Google tax” refers to foreign organizations that provide services in electronic form without using a domain name or IP address registered in Kyrgyzstan, the place of delivery of which is recognized as the territory of the country. The VAT rate is 12 percent on the amount of services sold.
