The Anti-Terrorism Center of the State Committee for National Security, with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, discussed the draft program of the Cabinet of Ministers on countering extremism and terrorism for 2023-2027, presented by an expert working group. This was reported by the press service of the department.
According to her, representatives of state bodies involved in the implementation of the program, international and non-governmental organizations, and experts actively participated in the discussion.
During the discussion, members of the working group presented the content of the draft program, its main principles, goals and objectives, as well as the main directions of state policy to counter extremism and terrorism in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives of the ATC of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic noted its importance, taking into account the approaches of state bodies involved in the implementation of this program, the opinions of experts and representatives of civil society, in order to create a more comprehensive document aimed at effective work to counter extremism and terrorism, respecting the interests of society and the country’s legislation.
This platform provided an opportunity for the exchange of experience, opinions and knowledge between members of professional communities. Based on the results of the discussions, the working group adopted and made appropriate amendments to the content of the draft Cabinet of Ministers program on countering extremism and terrorism for 2023-2027. The discussion was held in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere.
