, Bishkek –,

Seven members of an organized criminal group were detained in Omsk, including citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who are selling surrogate alcohol under the guise of premium vodka. This was reported by the Internet portal “Russian newspaper”.

According to preliminary data, seven citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and Azerbaijan, who are in kinship relations, have organized an illegal business for the production of counterfeit alcohol.

The disinfectant bootleggers poured into the vans in the car parks outside the big malls. They applied labels of well-known brands and fake federal brands to bottles and immediately sold them at a price well below market prices. In addition, in the “Military town” they had a warehouse where trade was carried out in large wholesale.

According to the expert’s conclusion, the alcohol-containing liquid contains a toxic substance that affects the nervous and respiratory systems, the gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys and changes the morphological composition of peripheral blood, and therefore is dangerous to health.

A criminal case was opened against members of the organized criminal group. The investigation is ongoing. For the commission of this crime, the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for a punishment of up to six years in prison.
