Spring of our freedom
Our dear readers!
The revolution has happened! Akayev’s regime has fallen! Life is getting better!
Probably, the materials for this issue, which we prepared yesterday, are already a little outdated. But these are trifles. You all know what happened – the Akayevsky citadel fell, the unarmed people swept away the power like callous crumbs from the table.
The army did not go against its people. Defense Minister Esen Topoev was shaking the people in their arms. The special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not come out to the square, the police refused to shoot at the unarmed citizens. And the merit in this is not the newly-made acting Minister of Internal Affairs Dushebaev. He had stated the previous evening that the law allows the use of weapons in such cases, and was ready to give such an order. The victory over Akaev’s regime would have been impossible without the sacrifices brought to the altar of democracy by the simple heroes of Aksa, who gave their lives for democracy. This is an example of Jalal-Abad, whose people managed to defend their rights, this is the experience of Talas, Oshan, Tyup, Bokonbaev, Kochkor, Ivanovo, who did not want to endure the corrupt government any longer.
How sad that this day was not seen by the dead guys in Bospiek, Sherali Nazarkulov, who died with the hope of freeing his native Kyrgyzstan from under the heel of the Akayev family. But his son, who has never seen his father, will grow up as a free man in a free country!
Now the main thing is to prevent provocations from the losers, who will arrange atrocities and loot and blame the rebels. “The revolution must be defended!” – Daniyar Usenov said on KTR. And he’s right. But even if there are provocations, very soon the situation will normalize, those people who will be appointed by the people themselves will come to power and will establish strict control over order in the country.
Where will Askar Akayev’s henchmen flee? What will he himself, his madam, children-deputies do? It doesn’t matter at all. Let them live somewhere, away from sin. Probably, the millions stolen from the people will be enough for this whole horde for a piece of bread with black caviar.
They say that yesterday those who stormed the White House brutally beat the “gray cardinal” – the first deputy head of the presidential administration Bolot Zhanuzakov. This, of course, is in vain. It was enough just to pull off his pants and flog him in public in the square.
There is no need to beat anyone half to death – all the sinners of the previous regime must be brought to justice. And this court must be fair: what they deserve, let them get it. We believe that now justice will prevail and the people will be returned everything that was brazenly taken away from them. We do not want to take revenge for everything that our newspaper and journalists had to endure in four years – endless wrongful trials, bankruptcy of the newspaper, illegal closings. And we will resolve all issues according to the law.
We congratulate everyone on the victory – those who obtained it with their own hands, those who helped them, those who sympathized, and those who were afraid to sympathize! Now the whole world knows that the people of small Kyrgyzstan are brave, decisive and courageous. He is very patient, but you cannot test his patience forever. Akayev and his clique thought they were ruling a nation of slaves and plebeians who would never rise from their knees. They made a mistake, and this mistake will cost them dearly.
Felix Kulov is free. He called on fellow citizens to observe the strictest discipline and stop provocations.
Nooruz brought us freedom. We will not let you take it away!
