A criminal case has been initiated against employees of the Department of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Manas region. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Manas district of the Talas region conducted an audit in the Department of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Manas district on the implementation of anti-corruption legislation, accounting, public procurement for the period from 2020 to 2021.
During the audit, it was found that the employees of the department of social protection of the population of the above department, in order to obtain benefits for themselves or others, entered false information into official documents, indicating fictitious persons in the payroll and in other documents from January 2020 to August 2022 resulting in significant damage to the state.
On this fact, the prosecutor’s office of the Manas district initiated a criminal case under Article 337 (Abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. An investigation is underway.
