Serdar Azmun won the Russian Super Cup with Zenit

Petersburg “Zenith” in Moscow at the stadium “VEB-Arena” beat the capital “Lokomotiv” in the match for Russian Super Cup with a score of 2: 1 and won the 2020 season trophy. This year this is the third title of the St. Petersburg team, which became the champion of the RPL and the owner of the Russian Cup.

Goals in the composition of the winners were scored by the Russians Artem Dzyuba (14th minute) and Magomed Ozdoev (69). Croatian Vedran Chorluka (72) scored against the losers. The Iranian forward of Zenit, who has Turkmen roots, Serdar Azmun took part in the match. He entered the field in the first team, played until the 92nd minute and was replaced.

For the blue-white-blue the Russian Super Cup has become the fifth in the history of the club, therefore, Zenit will receive it for eternal storage. The club from St. Petersburg also won the trophy in 2008, 2011, 2015 and 2016.

Serdar Azmun has been playing for Zenit since the winter of 2019. Previously, he also played for Rostov and Rubin. Serdar Azmun has played 50 matches for the Iranian national team since 2014 and scored 32 goals, he is in the top 5 scorers of his national team. The footballer is an honorary member of the Mekan branch of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmens and the Society of Turkmen Culture in St. Petersburg.
