Kazakhstan sends its fourth peacekeeping company to Lebanon | Kazakhstan News: Latest news on Kazakh TV

Already the fourth unit of Kazakh peacekeepers has left for Lebanon. A total of 120 Kazakh soldiers will replace their compatriots who have been in the Middle Eastern state since November 2019. They will work in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The peacekeepers will conduct patrols and assist civilians, as well as participate in the organization of observation posts and other activities. Since October 2018, according to the UN mandate, the Kazakh military has been part of the Indian peacekeeping battalion. They jointly perform at least 50 tasks every day.

“The company includes military personnel from all regional commands and other troops. The personnel, including junior command personnel, officers and communications officers, underwent seven months of training at a peacekeeping center in India,” said Commander of the Fourth Consolidated Peacekeeping Company Zhanat Birbalanov.

In view of the current epidemiological situation, the dispatch of military personnel will be carried out in two stages: in early August and in mid-August.
